The rain has again started to fall down at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday (May 29).
After the rainy affair postponed the game for a day, the spectators and teams were hoping for the minimal wrath of nature in the revised final. But it has started to take a toll again.

Although the first half of the match was uninterrupted, rain started to fall just after the start of CSK's run chase. GT posted a mammoth 214/4 at the end of their 20 overs, and CSK are on 4/0 after 0.3 overs as the rain stopped play.
The rain currently has been delaying the game and Chennai Super Kings will be losing the match if the game stops here. Gujarat Titans will be crowned champions for finishing higher than CSK in the group table.
But CSK may not mind the rain continuing for some time more and stopping afterwards. We are supposed to lose overs in some minutes and a shortened game will only benefit them. If the DLS method is implied, CSK will need 43 runs to win the game at the end of 5 overs.
The DLS Par Score which has been provided puts CSK right at the driving seat, and that can benefit MS Dhoni and his team.
| Number of Overs | Targets in DLS Method |
| 5 | 66 |
| 6 | 78 |
| 7 | 90 |
| 8 | 101 |
| 9 | 112 |
| 10 | 123 |
| 11 | 133 |
| 12 | 143 |
| 13 | 153 |
| 14 | 162 |
| 15 | 171 |
| 16 | 181 |
| 17 | 190 |
| 18 | 198 |
| 19 | 207 |
| 20 | 215 |
GT know a shortened game will be bad for them. Any such DLS scenario tends to favour the chasing team and CSK will benefit from it.
Hence Gujarat Titans will hope the match doesn't get shortened or gets reduced to at least a minimum of 15 overs to hold their advantage. Anything less than 10 overs will be a massive boon for CSK and Titans won't want that.
Hardik Pandya won't mind also if the rain continues in Ahmedabad. A wash out means GT will be crowned champions for finishing higher than CSK in the league table.
