IPL 2023 Final: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Deepak Chahar was trolled during the IPL 2023 final against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday for dropping a regulation catch of in-form Shubman Gill.
Gill, the leading run-scorer in the IPL 2023 with three hundreds and four fifties, was batting at three when Chahar dropped the regulation catch on Tushar Deshpande's bowling on the fourth ball of the second over while standing at backward square leg.

To add to Chahar's misery, the 23-year-old opener hit two consecutive fours off his bowling in the next over. Gill then smashed back-to-back three fours on the first three deliveries of the fourth over from Deshapande.
The Gujarat Titans opener piled up 39 runs from 20 balls before getting out on the final ball of the seventh over from Ravindra Jadeja. Dhoni's magical work behind the wickets to stump Gill also played a major role as CSK finally managed to bring to the assault from the right-hander.
Gill's catch was not the only one dropped by Chahar. He also dropped Wriddhiman Saha on his own bowling in the fifth over. The experienced campaigner was batting on 21 off 14 at the stage. Saha went on to score 54 off 39 to provide a solid platform to the Titans.
The costly errors from Chahar did not go well with CSK fans who slammed the 30-year-old brutally on Twitter. Here are a few Twitter reactions to Chahar's dropped catch of Gill and Saha.
MS Dhoni's CSK are chasing their record-equalling fifth IPL title.
