IPL 2023 final was won by Chennai Super Kings as the MS Dhoni-led side defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets to lift the title for the record-equalling fifth time at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (May 29). MyKhel brings to you details of who won the Man of the Match award for the IPL 2023 final.
The IPL 2023 final saw many star performances, including a 96-run innings by Gujarat Titans youngster Sai Sudharsan to take the side to 214/4 while Wriddhiman Saha also became the oldest player at 38 to slam a half-century in an IPL final. Mohit Sharma performed with the ball as he took 3/36.

For CSK, who were asked to chase a revised target of 170 after rain and wet outfield delay, Ravindra Jadeja hit the winning runs with a six and a four with 10 runs needed off the last two balls. Shivam Dube contributed 32 runs off 21 balls from the other end too after Ambati Rayudu's farewell knock of 8-ball 19 relaxed the required rate.
However, man of the match went to Devon Conway, who scored 25-ball 47 to provide a brisk start to CSK in the chase as the New Zealand opener added 74 runs for the first wicket with Ruturaj Gaikwad (26) by the seventh over. The onslaught took the pressure off CSK in the chase as they started at an asking rate of close to 12 runs.
Devon Conway finished the season with 672 runs, third in the orange cap race behind eventual winner Shubman Gill, who managed 891 runs. Speaking after receiving the Man of the Match award, Conway said it was the greatest win of his career.
"It was a long time to wait, very nervous but Rutu and I plotted how we'll go about it. Personally, is the greatest win in my career. IPL final doesn't get bigger than that. Lot of credit to Mike Hussey, the fellow left-handed player. Nice to be in his shoes," said Conway.
