Lucknow, May 3: Former Chennai Super Kings and South Africa spinner Imran Tahir has expained why players flourish under the leadership of captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the Chennai-based franchise.
CSK has over the years seen many veterans arrive and perform better like Ambati Rayudu, Robin Uthappa and most recently Ajinkya Rahane, who has been a transformed player. While the veterans have revived their careers, Dhoni and CSK have been developing a few stars in the making.

Dhoni, who is very likely playing his final season of Indian Premier League (IPL), has been nurturing and building a squad for the future with the likes of Shivam Dube, Ruturaj Gaikwad among others seeing a quick rise in their careers.
Now, an ex CSK player, who played under the leadership of Dhoni, has revealed why players that come to the franchise do well and, how the skipper is nurturing the talent of the youngsters in the CSK squad and bringing out the best in the team
"CSK is going through a transition phase. MS Dhoni is preparing CSK for the future, he's nurturing young talents like Shivam Dube, Akash Singh, Tushar Deshpande, etc. for Indian cricket," Tahir said on Star Sports 'Cricket Live'.
"The best thing about Dhoni is that he's very approachable in the dressing room and at the hotel, and that is the reason why players flourish at CSK."
CSK will be next in action in a clash between the 3rd and 4th place teams in the table when they take on Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday (May 3) in a clash that might well see the victor leap to the top of the table.
While they may have lost their last two games at home, former South Africa cricketer Tahir highlighted the advantage that LSG will have as they face Dhoni and his men in a home setting.
"The Lucknow team is different at home and away from home. It becomes very strong in the house as the conditions suit it. Lucknow will have to take advantage of home matches as they have to play their next match at home against CSK, which is a tough team," Tahir added.
