With the IPL 2023 set to kick start from March 31, Star Sports announced their star-studded list of commentators on Sunday. Former India and Rajasthan Royals pacer S Sreesanth has finally made an IPL comeback but as a commentator.
In a special program broadcasted by Star networks to announce the names of the commentators - host Jatin Sapru introduced as many as nine former cricketers who will narrate the matches to the millions of fans glued to their TV sets.

Sapru travelled all the way to the UAE to first introduce the Pathan brothers - Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan. Irfan suggested that his big brother Yusuf has a sense of humour very few are aware of and that would be a surprise package for the fans. Irfan, Yusuf and Jatin then introduced Murali Vijay as the third member on the panel. Notably, Vijay last played a IPL match for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2022.
Next on the panel of IPL 2023 commentators are Ashes rivals Aaron Finch and Paul Collingwood. Finch has played for as many as nine IPL teams, while Paul Collingwood played for Delhi Daredevils (Delhi Capitals) in IPL 2010.
Former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star and South Africa legend Jacques Kallis will join Finch and Collingwood as the the third overseas star on the panel. Former India cricketers Mohammad Kaif, Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth complete the list.
The first match of the 10-team IPL will be played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and CSK. A total of 70 group stage matches will be played till May 21.
