Former KKR player Harbhajan Singh has only good things to say about Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana ahead of their match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday.
KKR have won two of their four matches and will be up against Mumbai Indians next, who secured their first win of the season recently against Delhi Capitals. KKR lost their last game against SRH and will be keen to get back to winning ways.
Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh - who has been a part of the KKR side in the past - is impressed with the way Nitish Rana is performing with the bat and also the way he is leading them as a captain of the side.
Speaking on Star Sports' Cricket Live, Harbhajan Singh said, "Nitish Rana has led KKR from the front in the last two games. His timing has been immaculate, he attacked spinners and pacers with equal ease. He is batting well and even making the captaincy moves brilliantly."
On the other hand, former India player Sunil Gavaskar reckons the match will be pivotal for MI to maintain their winning streak. Mumbai are traditional late bloomers in IPL, but he believes Rohit Sharma and his team need to continue their winning momentum.
"The upcoming match is going to be very interesting for Mumbai because after breaking the long streak of defeat, there must have been a change in the mindset of the Mumbai team and now it will be interesting to see what kind of game they show to maintain their winning streak," Gavaskar said.
