Former India coach Ravi Shastri reckons Rajasthan Royals batter Yashasvi Jaiswal will play for India in the near future.
The Rajasthan Royals batter has lit up the tournament with his elite level of batting. He has already racked up 575 runs this season already, breathing down the neck of Faf du Plessis (576) for the Orange Cap leaderboard.

The batter played a sublime knock of 98 off just 43 balls against KKR, which has earned him a lot of plaudits across the cricketing fraternity. The 21-year-old has shown grit, determination and with his innate class, he is tipped to become a future star of Indian cricket.
And former India coach Ravi Shastri thinks the selectors must be keeping an eye on him for the upcoming assignments and believes he will represent the national colours soon.
"The selectors must be closely monitoring Jaiswal and he will soon play for India. The best thing about him is the way he's raised his graph. There is power in his game, there's timing. He has very bright future prospects," Shastri said on Star Sports.
Jaiswal rose from an extremely humble background but his talent and hard work have propelled himself to thrive on a massive stage like IPL. The graceful southpaw has taken his chance with both hands and is a pivotal piece of Rajasthan Royals' zigsaw.
Jaiswal will be hoping to go big again on Sunday as Rajasthan Royals take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in a crucial match. A win will take the Royals closer to playoffs, while defeat will definitely thwart their hopes.
