The Indian Premier League (IPL) is just around the corner and will start from March 31 with ten teams set to battle for the coveted title in season 16.
The ten teams will play 14 league stage matches and will have the advantage of their designate home this season with the IPL 2023 set to be hosted across 12 venues.

All the teams assembled their squads for the upcoming season at the IPL Auction 2023, which took place during the end of last year on December 23 in Kochi.
While most teams have already started their camps like Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals, some teams like Mumbai Indians have been hit by injury in their road to preparation for the season.
Delhi Capitals also received a blow just a week after the auction with their skipper and India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant suffering injuries in a car accident. DC will now need two roles to fill when the season starts as Pant is expected to miss action for a long time.
MI, on the other hand, have suffered a double blow to their pace department. While they have received good news of England's Jofra Archer playing, the record champions have lost India spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and his possible replacement in Australia's Jhye Richardson.
Both pacers have undergone surgery and are expected to be out of action for some period of time. The same can be said of New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson, who was supposed to play for CSK this season. The Kiwi has also been ruled out due to injury.
Another pacer that underwent surgery is Prasidh Krishna, who is expected to miss the season for last season's runners up Rajasthan Royals. Royal Challengers Bangalore's latest English recruit Will Jacks has also been ruled out of IPL 2023.
Punjab Kings' English wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow, who has missed action since last September, has also been ruled out of this IPL season as he continues to recover from a triple leg break.
Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders) and Mukesh Choudhary (CSK) are also ruled out. Gujarat Titans suffered a blow on the opening day as they lost their new recruit Kane Williamson for the season.
Also on the injury doubts list are Josh Hazlewood (RCB), Lockie Ferguson (KKR) and Mohsin Khan (LSG). These players are not completely ruled out as it stands.
Punjab Kings' Liam Livingstone also is recovering from injury and it is unclear when he will join the PBKS camp. The other English players like Ben Stokes, Joe Root and the other Test stars could also pull out early with an eye on Ashes.
Some of India and Australia players could also cut short their campaigns with the World Test Championship final 2023 set to take place just a few days after the IPL 2023 final.
