IPL 2023: JioCinema Smashes Own Record, Clocks 2.4 Crore Viewers During RCB vs CSK Southern Derby

Bengaluru, April 18: JioCinema, the digital rights holder for Indian Premier League in India, on Monday (April 17) smashed it's own record for viewers during RCB vs CSK - the first Southern Derby of IPL 2023.

Shortly after registering the highest ever concurrent viewership during the Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals IPL 2023 match, JioCinema breached the record for the second time in five days.

A whopping 2.4 Crore viewers came together as they watched MS Dhoni's CSK defend a high-octane run chase from Royal Challengers Bangalore with bated breath at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The match went down to the wire with 19 needed off the final over when JioCinema registered its highest concurrency yet of 2.4 Crore. Under the ice-cool guidance of Dhoni, CSK registered an 8-run win. The 444-run southern derby concluded with CSK bagging two crucial points in RCB's backyard.
