IPL 2023: Jos Buttler ruled out for a week with Finger Injury

Rajasthan Royals batter Jos Buttler is set to be sidelined for a week, according to reports. The Royals talisman injured his finger in the last match against Punjab Kings.

Jos Buttler injured his finger while taking a catch and then went off the field for some time. The Englishman also didn't come on to open the bat for the Royals in the run chase as Ravichandran Ashwin walked out with Yashasvi Jaiswal to kickstart the chase.

Although there were speculations he may not be able to bat at all, Buttler walked out at no. 3 but could only manage a cameo of 19 runs before getting out unfortunately in a Nathan Ellis delivery.

But it will be a massive setback for Rajasthan Royals as Buttler looks likely to be sidelined for a week, according to Indian outlet Sports Tak.

The England international is a vital cog in the Royals' batting and him missing for a week will be a huge blow for them. Rajasthan will play Delhi Capitals on April 8, followed by two matches against Chennai Super Kings (April 12) and Gujarat Titans (April 15) - and Buttler is poised to miss all of these three matches.

The England player is expected to come back in their April 19 match against Lucknow Super Giants.
