KKR vs CSK: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. The action will kick off from 7:30 PM IST. Chennai are currently placed third in the 10-team IPL points table after winning four and losing two matches.

Kolkata, on the other hand, are reeling at the eighth spot after two wins and four losses. The side will be looking to evade their fourth consecutive defeat on the trot. Chennai have won their last two matches.

Ruturaj Gaikwad: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener is the eighth-highest run-scorer in the IPL 2023. He has scored 235 runs in six matches at an average of 47 and a strike rate of 144.17. In the last match against SRH, Gaikwad scored 35 runs off 30 balls before getting run out unfortunately.

The right-hander has scored 208 runs at an average of 41.60 and a strike rate of 135.06 in five matches against KKR. As many as 17 fours and 10 sixes have come off his blade against Kolkata.

Ajinkya Rahane: The CSK batter was dismissed for nine runs only in the last match against SRH but his prior three innings (37, 31 and 61) have been nothing but spectacular. Rahane has settled beautifully in the CSK line-up.

Venkatesh Iyer: Eyes will be on Venkatesh Iyer in the upcoming contest. Recently he became only the second KKR player and the first since the first match in IPL history in 2008, to score a hundred in the IPL.

In the IPL 2023, Iyer has scored 234 runs in six matches at an average of 39 and a strike rate of 168.34. The southpaw has played three matches against CSK and scored 84 runs at a strike rate of 133.33.

Nitish Rana: The KKR captain has so far scored 154 runs from six matches in the IPL 2023. He is averaging 25.66 and carrying a strike rate of 141.28. The southpaw has scored - 4, 5, 75 and 45 in his last four outings.

Rana has played nine matches against CSK and scored 200 runs at an average of 25 and a strike rate of 122.69. At the Eden Gardens, he has scored 526 runs in 17 matches at an average of 35.06 and a strike rate of 143.32.
