KKR vs GT: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on Gujarat Titans (GT) in match number 39 of the IPL 2023 at the Eden Garden in Kolkata on Saturday. Hosts Kolkata are currently occupying the seventh spot in the 10-team table after just three wins in eight matches.

On the other hand, defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) are placed second behind Rajasthan Royals (RR) and ahead of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at third. Each of the three teams have won 10 points, however, GT has played a match less.

Gujarat have won their last two matches, while Kolkata won their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 21 runs to break their four match losing streak. The win is expected to boost their confidence in the upcoming match.

As the two teams gear up to clash against each other for the second time in the IPL 2023, let's have a look at four players who can end up scoring most runs in the match.

Nitish Rana: KKR captain Nitish Rana will be eyeing to score big against Gujarat and lead from the front. In his last outing against Gujarat, he scored 45 runs off 29 balls. In his last IPL 2023 innings, the southpaw scored 48 runs off just 21 balls.

Rana would be wishing for his team to win their second consecutive match and resurrect their campaign after losing four back-to-back matches earlier. He is the third-highest run-scorer for KKR this season. He has scored 229 runs in eight matches at an average of 28.62 and a strike rate of 152.66.

Andre Russell: Fans have long been waiting for the 'Russell Muscle' show in the IPL 2023. The hard-hitting Caribbean superstar is yet to deliver. With Kolkata reeling at the seventh spot, Russell would surely be looking to bounce back to form.

The first eight matches of the season has seen him score just 108 runs at an average of 18 and a strike rate of 138.46. He was dismissed for one earlier this season against Gujarat.

Shubman Gill: The Gujarat opener is the eighth-highest run-scorer of the season so far. He has scored 284 runs in seven matches at an average of 40.57 and a strike rate of 142.71.

He scored 39 runs off 31 balls in his first outing against his former team this season. Overall, he has played two matches against KKR and scored 46 runs at a strike rate of 127.77.

Wriddhiman Saha: Kolkata's very own Wriddhiman Saha would be looking to deliver on the ground which made him the cricketer he is today. In his side's away match against Gujarat this season, he scored 17 runs off as many balls.

In the IPL 2023, he has played seven matches so far and scored 141 runs at an average of 20.14 and a strike rate of 133.01. Overall, Saha has played 19 matches against KKR and scored 499 runs at an average of 29.35 and a strike rate of 134.86.
