Rahmanullah Gurbaz has been playing an outstanding knock for Kolkata Knight Riders in their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday (April 6).
The Afghanistan batter started in fantastic fashion and has continued his onslaught despite losing partners. KKR lost early wickets as Venkatesh Iyer, Mandeep Singh and Nitish Rana all lost their wickets cheaply.

But the Afghan batter has been in brilliant touch and has completed his half-century in only his second IPL match. The batter scored 57 runs before getting out in Karn Sharma's delivery. He hit six boundaries and cleared the fence thrice during his inning.
With his half-century, Rahmanullah Gurbaz has become the first Afghan player to score 50+ runs in the IPL. The 21-year-old Afghanistan batter was roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders from Gujarat Titans during the trading window, and he has so far repaid the faith and justified his selection in the team.
The previous highest score by an Afghan in IPL was 40 by Rashid Khan, who plays for Gujarat Titans.
