Kolkata Knight Riders have registered a monumental victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday (April 6) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The hosts scored 204/7 after batting first, and in reply, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis rich RCB were bundled out for just 123 runs. It was a comprehensive victory for the Knights who get off the mark in this season.
And it was KKR spinners who decimated the RCB innings. The spinning trio of the Knights picked up 9 wickets as the Bangalore batting unit made a sorry procession in front of them. Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine inflicted the majority of the damage, but young debutant Suyash Sharma impressed on his debut.
Suyash Sharma was bought by KKR in the auction for his base price of INR 20 lakh. The KKR think tank were extremely happy with the acquisition and the young bowler repaid the faith with an excellent display in front of a vibrant Eden crowd. He came on as the Impact Player and has left a very vivid impact with his performance.

He then got another wicket a couple of overs later, when Karn Sharma fell victim to his flighted spin. The Delhi-born youngster caught the KKR scouts eye and it seems the investment on the teenager has started on the best possible note.

Suyash Sharma is a young leg spinner who hails from Delhi. The youngster hasn't yet played any List A, First-Class or T20 matches before his KKR debut on Thursday (April 6). He came on as an Impact Player for the Knight Riders.
