GT vs CSK Live streaming IPL 2023: Indian Premier League heavyweights Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will square off in the opening match of the IPL 2023 season on Friday. Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans sent a shockwave through the tournament last year when they won the IPL 2022 in their maiden season.

MS Dhoni-led CSK struggled and couldn't reach the play-off stages after Ravindra Jadeja failed miserably in the leadership role as the franchise turned to its old guard for help. Dhoni guarding the stumps will also be a spectacle as the iconic cricketer returns to the limelight since IPL 2022.

CSK, however, bore the look of Indian team discards as barring Jadeja, the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Deepak Chahar, Ambati Rayudu, Ruturaj Gaikwad have been sidelined from national duty for a while now. Gaikwad, however, may get himself back in the reckoning if he gets going this IPL after a strong domestic show.

For GT, they have star Indian players in the captain himself, along with Shubman Gill, Mohammad Shami, and KS Bharat. GT also consists of the likes of Wriddhiman Saha, Jayant Yadav, Rahul Tewatia, and Vijay Shankar, who have been out of team India reckoning for some time now.

Among CSK foreigners, Kiwi opener Devon Conway and English duo of Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali are expected to do the heavy lifting with the bat while the latter two are also expected to play important roles with the ball as the tournament progress. CSK have further overseas bowling options in Mitchell Santner and the Lankan duo of Maheesh Theeksana and Matheesha Pathirana.

GT, on the other hand, will be without swashbuckling batter David Miller for the match and will expect Matthew Wade to fill in the gap while Kane Williamson, who has been in great shape with the bat, builds the foundation for good total with Gill at the top of the order.

Among bowlers, Alzarri Joseph will be expected to add strength to the pace battery with Lockie Ferguson traded off to Kolkata Knight Riders while Rashid Khan remains the hot favourite spinner after a scintillating display in Big Bash League followed by Pakistan Super League.
