'This is a Marcus Stoinis Fan Page' - LSG change their Twitter Bio after PBKS win

Lucknow Super Giants have paid tribute to their star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis in a unique fashion.

Marcus Stoinis has been a fantastic performer for LSG thus far this season. He was instrumental again on Friday in LSG's big win over Punjab Kings. Stoinis scored 72 runs off just 40 balls and then picked up a wicket with the ball as LSG beat Punjab by 56 runs.

The Australian was also the Player of the Match for his stellar performance, and his franchise then made a touching act and changed their Twitter bio to a new description.

'This is a Marcus Stoinis fan page' - the updated bio of Lucknow Super Giants wrote after Stoinis' brilliant display.

The 33-year-old has scored 216 runs for LSG so far at a strike rate of 155. He has hit 16 fours and 14 sixes so far, with 2 fifties to his name as well. He has also contributed with the ball, picking up 5 wickets.

Stoinis was roped in as a draft pick before the IPL 2022. Although he had a topsy-turvy first season with LSG, the Australian player is showing his full value this year. LSG are currently sitting 2nd in the IPL table with 10 points after 8 matches.

Fans reacted to the change in many fashions. Some were truly in awe by the brilliance of Stoinis, while others looked at it in a different manner.

One fan wrote "Captain bana do agar jada hi khush ho" (Make him Captain if you are this happy), while another fan wrote, "Truly being his name !! Marcus ne kas kas ke mara."

Will Marcus Stoinis play against RCB?

Stoinis is one of the overseas pillars of LSG. The former RCB player played a big part in their victory over Bangalore earlier this season. He played a big part in the Punjab win as well, but LSG fans will be concerned with his latest injury. Stoinis injured one of his fingers during bowling and left the pitch immediately.

"It's alright. We will get a scan later," Stoinis replied regarding his injury after the match.

LSG are up against RCB on Monday and it is to be seen whether Stoinis will be available for the match.
