MI vs RR: Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Rajasthan Royals in match number 42 of the IPL 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. The match will kick start at 7:30 PM IST. Mumbai are placed eighth on the ten-team points table after losing four of their first seven matches.
Rajasthan, on the other hand, are occupying the second spot after five wins in eight matches. However, the side has lost two of their last three matches. They defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 32 runs in their last match. Mumbai have lost their last two matches.

As the two teams gear up to clash against each other for the first time in the IPL 2023, let's have a look at four batters who can score most runs in the match.
Ishan Kishan: The Mumbai Indians (MI) opener is yet to make a major impact in this season for Mumbai. So far, he has played seven matches and scored 183 runs at an average of 26.14 and a strike rate of 129.78. He has hit only one fifty so far.
Overall, he has played eight matches against Rajasthan and scored 242 runs at an average of 34.57 and a strike rate of 135.19. The last two matches have seen him score 1 and 13. The southpaw would be aiming to bounce back with a match-winning knock for his team.
Suryakumar Yadav: Like Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav has also not been able to perform to his potential in this season. However, in his last few outings, the right-hander has shown glimpses of return to form.
The last four innings have seen him score 23, 57, 7 and 43 runs. In seven IPL 2023 matches so far, he has scored 146 runs at an average of 20.85 and a strike rate of 171.76. He has played 12 matches against Rajasthan and scored 399 runs at an average of 39.90 and a strike rate of 138.54.
Sanju Samson: The Rajasthan Royals captain has scored 198 runs in eight matches at an average of 24.75 and a strike rate of 151.14 in IPL 2023. The very dangerous batter has failed to convert his starts in the last two matches, getting out for 17 and 22 against CSK and RCB respectively.
He would be aiming to score big against Mumbai in Wankhede. He has played 20 matches against them and scored 537 runs at an average of 28.26 and a strike rate of 141.68.
Yashasvi Jaiswal: The Rajasthan Royals opener is the leading run-scorer for his team and seventh overall on the list of highest run-scorers in IPL 2023. The southpaw has scored 304 runs in eight matches at an average of 38 and a strike rate of 147.57.
The 21-year-old's scorecard in the last three innings read - 77 vs CSK, 47 vs RCB and 44 vs LSG. The batter can do nothing wrong at the moment. However, his record against Mumbai isn't impressive. In four matches against them, he has scored 45 runs at an average of 11.25 and a strike rate of 136.36.
