MS Dhoni almost clinch another stunning thriller when the iconic cricketer, who scored a pinch-hitting 17-ball 32 knock, had fans' hearts racing as the match went down to five runs needed off 1 ball during Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals (CSK vs RR) match. Loyal MSD fans expected the ball to go outside the park but Sandeep Sharma bowled an accurate yorker to help Rajasthan clinch the match.
The match went down to the wire in the closing stages when CSK were chasing 176 at MA Chidambaram Stadium. Needing 60 runs from the last five overs, Dhoni had a crucial stand with Ravindra Jadeja with the latter bringing the side back in the game with two sixes and a four off Jason Holder in the penultimate over.

Needing 21 runs off the final over, Dhoni smashed back-to-back sixes after two wides by Sandeep Sharma under pressure. However, the bowler responded well by giving away just three runs in the remaining three deliveries with back-to-back perfect yorkers to seal the win.
There were other performers in the game as well with R Ashwin scoring a 22-ball 30 and then delivering two wickets as well to clinch the man of the match award. Apart from him, CSK's Devon Conway and RR's Jos Buttler scored half-centuries while opening the innings.
