IPL 2023: Tamannah Bhatia, Rashmika Mandhana express adoration for Dhoni, Kohli ahead of opening ceremony

IPL 2023: Tamannah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandhana are all geared up for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 opening ceremony which will be held ahead of the GT vs CSK tournament opener on Friday, March 31. The two actresses will perform alongside singer Arijit Singh at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

In a video posted by the official Instagram handle of the IPL, Tamannah and Mandhana talked about their excitement to perform at the IPL 2023 opening ceremony. The two actresses confessed that they are die hard cricket fans and also named their favourite cricketers.

“Performing on stage is something that I have enjoyed from the start of my career. In addition to that, performing for IPL, which has been through so much after the COVID-19 is really very exhilarating. I will be performing with Arijit (Singh) and Rashmika (Mandhana) and I am really looking forward to it,” Tamannah Bhatia said on Thursday.

“I always wanted to witness an IPL match but never got the opportunity. Today I am going to be performing before an IPL match – so I am like 'I made it’,” Mandhana said in the video.

Both Tamannah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandhana picked Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli as their favourite cricketers.

“Movies and cricket are really close to us, kind of what we have been brought up with. Dhoni is everyone's favourite and I am no different, Virat also,” Tamannah said.

“Generally when I watch a cricket match my emotions are too up and down and I only like to check out the scores. Dhoni sir and Virat sir are my favourites of course," Mandhana stated.

IPL 2023 opening ceremony details: The IPL 2023 opening ceremony will be telecasted live on Star Sports channel and JioCinema app from 6 PM onwards on Friday.
