PBKS vs LSG, IPL 2023: 4 Bowlers Who Will Take Most Wickets In Today's Match

PBKS vs LSG: Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 38 of the IPL 2023 at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on Friday, April 28. Lucknow are placed fourth in the ten-team points table after winning four of their first seven matches.

Punjab, on the other hand, are occupying the sixth spot. They have also won four of their first seven matches, however, are behind Lucknow due to an inferior Net Run Rate (NRR). Lucknow have lost two of their last three matches, while Punjab have won two of their last three matches.

As the two teams gear up to clash against each other for the second time in the IPL 2023, let's have a look at four bowlers who can end with maximum wickets in the match.

Arshdeep Singh: The Punjab Kings pacer has been highly impressive so far in the IPL 2023. His tally of 13 wickets at an average of 15.69 and an economy rate of 8.16 is just one short of Rashid Khan and Mohammed Siraj's tally of 14 wickets each.

In his last outing against Mumbai Indians, Arshdeep picked four wickets for 29 runs and broke stumps twice in the final over of the match. In the first match between the two sides earlier this season, he picked one wicket for 22 runs in three overs.

Rahul Chahar: The leg-spinner is having a forgettable season so far. In seven matches he has managed to pick only two wickets at an average of 94.50 and an economy rate of 8.21.

In the first match with LSG this season, Chahar had failed to take any wicket after bowling three overs and leaking 28 runs. Overall, Chahar has played two matches against LSG and picked two wickets at an average of 29 and a strike rate of 8.28.

With the pressure mounting on him, the very talented youngster would be aiming to bounce back with his best performance of the season.

Mark Wood: The Lucknow Super Giants pacer is the leading wicket-taker for his team currently. He has picked 11 wickets in four matches at an average of 11.81 and an economy of 8.12. He has missed the side's last two matches due to an illness but is expected to play against Punjab.

His last match in the IPL 2023 came against the same opponent as he picked two wickets for 35 runs in four overs. Wood is expected to fly back home to attend the birth of his second child towards May end. The express pacer would be aiming to give his best for LSG before that.

Amit Mishra: The veteran LSG spinner has played four IPL 2023 matches and picked four wickets at an average of 14.25 and an economy rate of 6.50. He did not feature in the side's home match against Punjab Kings on April 15.

Mishra has played 20 matches against Punjab and picked 22 wickets at an average of 23.68 and an economy rate of 7.89. Lucknow have lost two of their last three matches and they might be tempted to play the leg-spinner in the match.
