PBKS vs RR IPL 2023: 4 Bowlers Who Will Take Most Wickets In Today's Match

PBKS vs RR: Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium in Dharamsala on Friday. PBKS and RR both have 12 points from 13 matches and need to win their last league match to give themselves a chance to qualify for IPL 2023 play-offs.

However, both the teams will have to depend on the results of the teams to stand a qualification chance. Punjab Kings are placed eight in the points table, while Rajasthan Royals are sixth due to a better Net Run Rate (NRR).

As the two teams gear up to clash against each other for the second time in the IPL 2023, let's have a look at four players who can take most wickets in the match.

Kagiso Rabada: Kagiso Rabada returned to PBKS playing eleven in the last match but ended up leaking 36 runs in three overs without taking any wicket. So far in the IPL 2023, the PBKS star has played five matches and picked five wickets at an average of 38.40 and an economy rate of 10.10.

The 27-year-old South Africa speedster has played a total of six matches against RR and picked 10 wickets at an average of 20.60 and an economy rate of 8.70.

Arshdeep Singh: The left-arm pacer will be the key bowler for Punjab Kings in the upcoming match. He has picked 16 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 28.31 and an economy rate of 9.67. Arshdeep is the joint sixth highest-wicket taker in the tournament at the moment.

Overall, he has played six matches against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and picked 14 wickets at an average of 15.71 and an economy rate of 9.56. Arshdeep did not pick any wicket in the last match and would look to bounce back strongly in the crunch game.

Trent Boult: The New Zealand left-arm pacer has picked 12 wickets in nine matches at an average of 23.98 and an economy rate of 8.14. In his last outing against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he picked two wickets for 15 runs in three overs.

Boult dismissed both the KKR openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Jason Roy. Boult has played 11 matches against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and picked eight wickets at an average of 47.37 and an economy rate of 9.35.

Ravichandran Ashwin: The veteran off-spinner would be aiming to deliver for his team in the high-octane clash. In 13 IPL matches so far, he has picked 14 wickets at an average of 26.28 and an economy rate of 7.51.

In his last outing against PBKS earlier this season, Ashwin picked one wicket for 25 runs in four overs. Overall, he has featured in 20 matches against PBKS and picked 20 wickets at an average of 26.75 and an economy rate of 7.22.
