IPL 2023: Punjab Kings sign Gurnoor Singh Brar as Raj Bawa replacement

Punjab Kings have roped in Gurnoor Singh Brar as a replacement for Raj Bawa for the IPL 2023 season.

The franchise announced on Wednesday about their new acquisition and IPL announced that Brar was signed by Punjab for INR 20 lakh.

Gurnoor Singh Brar will replace Raj Bawa, who was ruled out with a left shoulder injury.

Gurnoor Singh Brar Stats and Records:

Gurnoor Singh Brar is a batting all-rounder and made his first-class debut for Punjab last year. He has so far played five Ranji matches and scored 107 runs at a decent strike rate of 120, which included a fantastic 64-run knock against Jammu and Kashmir earlier this year. He is also a pace bowler and picked up 7 wickets with the ball.

The 22-year-old Mukstar-born player will be joining the PBKS squad and will be available for their match against Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday (April 5). Brar becomes the 9th player so far this season who has come in as a replacement for a player across all teams in the IPL.
