Dinesh Karthik, the Royal Challengers Bangalore and India player, will be taking part in the commentary for Ashes 2023 in the summer.
The player himself confirmed on Thursday about his new journey as a commentator as he is set to be the only Indian in the entire panel of Ashes commentators. The Indian custodian also commentated in the recently-concluded Border Gavaskar Trophy.

The practice of commentating even during the playing days has become a new phenomenon in cricket. Many active players are engaging themselves as a commentator in various franchise and international tournaments.
And Karthik took to social media to make the 'massive' announcement.
"One MASSIVE announcement before the IPL as a player starts... So proud to be amongst these legends. Surreal feeling. Just felt like sharing! Bas. That's all. Thanks
Dinesh Karthik will be commentating for the Ashes broadcasters Sky Sports, who will be predominantly broadcasting the Test series in England and UK. Apart from Karthik, former Sri Lanka player Kumar Sangakkara is also going to be a part of Sky Sports' commentators' panel. Ricky Ponting, Eoin Morgan, Nasser Hussain are some of the other names of the panel.
Australia will be aiming to retain the Ashes after they beat England 4-0 in the previous Ashes. The Aussies will be taking on India in the World Test Championship Final in June (June 7 to 11) and the encounter against England will start after that.
