RCB vs KKR: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday. The action will kick off from 7:30 PM IST. In their first clash against each other this season, Kolkata defeated Bangalore by 81 runs.
RCB are currently placed fifth in the ten-team IPL 2023 points table, while KKR are reeling at the eight spot after losing five of their seven matches. The Nitish Rana-led side will be entering the match on the back of four consecutive defeats.
Bangalore have won four and lost three matches. They have emerged victorious under Virat Kohli's captaincy in their last two matches against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) respectively.

Faf du Plessis: There is no stopping Faf du Plessis at the moment. He is the current Orange Cap holder with 406 runs in seven matches at an average of 165.31. He has smashed 33 fours and 25 sixes so far in the tournament. In the last match against Rajasthan, he brought up his third consecutive fifty of the season.
Overall, the 38-year-old has smashed five fifties this season. The former South Africa captain has played 17 matches against KKR and scored 455 runs at an average of 37.91 and a strike rate of 133.82.
Virat Kohli: RCB's stand-in captain in the last two matches is the fourth highest run-scorer this season. He has scored 279 runs in seven matches at an average of 46.50 and a strike rate of 141.62.
In his last outing against Rajasthan, Kohli was dismissed for a first-ball duck. In the away game against KKR, Kohli scored 21 runs. Overall, he has played 31 matches this season and scored 807 runs at an average of 35.08 and a strike rate of 129.12.
Rinku Singh: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh is the second-highest run-scorer for his team currently. Overall, he is the 12th highest run-scorer in the IPL 2023. The southpaw has scored 233 runs in seven matches at an average of 58.25. Rinku's strike rate is a whopping 157.43.
He has stayed unbeaten three times this season. The last time Rinku played against RCB, he scored 46 runs off 33 balls. Rinku has played two matches against RCB and scored 52 runs at an average of 26 and strike rate of 133.33.
Venkatesh Iyer: The southpaw opener is the leading run-scorer for KKR. He has scored 254 runs in seven matches at an average of 36.29 and a strike rate of 159.75. Overall, he is seventh on the list of highest run-scorers this season.
Iyer has scored big twice in IPL 2023, He slammed a hundred against MI and 83 against Gujarat Titans (GT). A struggling KKR would be hoping for the third big score from him. Overall, he has played four matches against RCB and scored 80 runs at an average of 26.66 and a strike rate of 102.56.
