IPL 2023, RCB vs MI Match Prediction: Top 4 Players Who Will Hit Most Sixes In Today's Match

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will open their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign against record champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday (April 2) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

RCB led by Faf Du Plessis return to their home for the first time since 2019 and will hope they carry their form of reaching the playoffs from the past three seasons in 2023 as well.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav

Rohit Sharma's five-time winner MI, on the other hand, will look to bounce back from back-to-back poor seasons when they begin their campaign this year, which will also see them play matches at their home in Wankhede.

Back to the match on Sunday (April 2), RCB and MI will clash at a venue where it has rained sixes over the years with more than 1000 sixes being smashed in the Indian Premier League at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Expect more sixes to be hit at the venue, which has smaller boundaries and has delivered belter of wickets for batters to dominate. The RCB vs MI match will see several players that are known for their six-hitting take the field.

Here is the Top 4 players who will hit the most sixes in RCB vs MI IPL 2023 match:

1. Rohit Sharma: The Team India and Mumbai Indians skipper is among the list for most sixes in the limited overs format on international stage and in the Indian Premier League.

Rohit has so far smashed 240 sixes in IPL, the third highest in the history of the cash-rich. The right-handed opener will make merry of the shorter boundaries at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

2. Virat Kohli: The former captain of India and RCB, Kohli is also in the list for most sixes in IPL although he is not known to hit those maximums at will. But at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the star batter has the second most sixes after Chris Gayle.

And returning to form just ahead of IPL and a return to RCB's fortress will give Kohli even more a bigger lift. So, the right-handed batter is expected to clear the ropes at the venue, where he enjoys playing.

3. Suryakumar Yadav: The batting sensation of Team India over the last year may be out of form recently, but is expected to bounce back soon. And what better place then the Bengaluru stadium for that to happen.

SKY, who is known for his 360 degree run-scoring ability, will be licking his lips at utilizing the shorter square boundaries at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. He smashed a record 68 sixes in T20 internationals last year.

4. Glenn Maxwell: The Australian is another player who plays some unorthodox shots like the reverse sweeps and the switch hits often, utilizing the shorter square boundaries at most venues.

The right-handed batter, who is slightly out of form, can use this as an opportunity to get back match fitness after having missed over 6 months through a freak injury.

The likes of Dinesh Karthik, Cameron Green, Tim David and Faf Du Plessis will also be among players that have the ability to smash those maximums at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
