As the two teams gear up to clash against each other for the first time in the IPL 2023, let's have a look at four batters who can score most runs in the match.

Faf du Plessis: The RCB captain is the leading run-scorer of IPL 2023. He has scored 343 runs in six matches at an average of 68.60

and a strike rate of 166.50. He has smashed four fifties in the tournament so far.

The star batter, who played as an Impact batter for his team in the last match due to an injury but still ended up smashing 84 off 56, has played 13 matches against RR and scored 372 runs at an average of 28.61.

Virat Kohli: The stat batter led RCB in the absence of du Plessis in the playing eleven against Punjab Kings. He brought up his fourth fifty of the season. Overall, he has scored 279 runs - third-highest in the IPL 2023 season. His average and strike rate are a whopping 55.80 and 142.34 respectively.

Kohli has played 27 matches against RR and scored 600 runs at an average of 27.27 and a strike rate of 115.38. His matchup against former teammate Yuzvendra Chahal and star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin would be intriguing.

Jos Buttler: The Rajasthan Royals opener is the leading run-scorer for his team currently. He has scored 244 runs in six matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike rate of 146.98. He has hit three fifties this season.

Buttler, the sixth-highest run-scorer of the season, has scored 412 runs in 12 matches at an average of 45.77 and a strike rate of 153.15. The small boundaries are likely to favour the hard-hitting England star.

Sanju Samson: The Rajasthan Royals captain will be one batter to watchout for in the upcoming contest. So far, he has scored 159 runs in six matches at an average of 26.50 and a strike rate of 160.60.

In his second-last outing Gujarat Titans, Samson scored 60 off just 32 runs to help his team chase 178. Notably, the side were reeling at 55/4 in 10.3 overs at one stage. The right-hand batter has played 20 matches against RCB and scored 357 runs at an average of 19.83 and a strike rate of 136.78.
