Lucknow, April 2: Delhi Capitals batter Rilee Rossouw has said it was great to bat along with the legend of the game David Warner in the team's IPL 2023 opener against Lucknow Super Giants.
The Delhi Capitals didn't get off to the best of starts after going down by 50 runs against LSG at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday (April 1).

The Lucknow side put up 193/6 in their 20 overs and then restricted the Delhi Capitals to 143/9 to seal a 50-run win that pushed them to the top of the points table.
Warner (56 off 48 balls) and Rossouw (30 off 20 balls) were the top-scorers for DC. The pair added 38 runs off 30 balls. And the South African expressed that he enjoyed batting with captain Warner.
"It was fantastic to bat with a legend of the game. And to see how he goes about his business was something to behold," Rossouw said in a DC release.
Although the result did not go in their favour, the DC batter Rossouw is excited to be back in the Indian Premier League and enjoyed the atmosphere in the match.
"Unfortunately, we didn't get the win. It was a bit too much to chase down over 190 on that wicket. It's been fantastic to be back in the IPL. There's a great buzz around the ground," Rossouw added.
Rossouw, who struck 3 fours and a six in his knock, also said there is still a long way to go in the tournament and added what aspects they will need to improve in the season ahead.
"It's a long tournament and we'll definitely think about what we could've done better. We'll strive to get a victory in the next one. We can be better on the field. It would've been a completely different game if we had taken our chances."
The Delhi Capitals will look to bounce back when theyreturn to their home - Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi to take on defending champions Gujarat Titans in their next game on Tuesday (April 4).
