Rinku Singh's stellar rise for Kolkata Knight Riders has not been enough to take them to playoffs, but the KKR batter has earned a plethora of plaudits.
It has been a dismal season for KKR who have come short of playoffs, but Rinku Singh has been the sole bright spark for them. The southpaw has amassed 474 runs this season at an average of 59, being one of the best batters of the group stage.

Rinku has had an outstanding season with 4 fifties to his name. His unforgettable season started with a historical five sixes in five balls blitz against Gujarat Titans, in which Rinku scored 30 runs off the last 5 balls to give KKR a stunning victory. He has often been the saviour for the Knight Riders and has looked in ominous touch.
And in KKR's last game of the season against LSG, Rinku starred again. The middle-order batter scored an unbeaten 67 off 33 balls and took KKR close to another win. Chasing 177 runs, the two-time IPL champions lost by 1 run but it was Rinku who took them that close.
Rinku hit Naveen-ul-Haq for 20 runs in the 19th over, then took apart Yash Thakur for 6,4,6 in the last three balls, but failed to get his team home. Nevertheless, it was another supreme batting display by the batter and former India player Harbhajan Singh was in awe of the player.
Speaking after the match, Harbhajan said the KKR batter has now put his name along with some of the best finishers of the IPL.
"Rinku Singh has put his name in the pantheon of legendary match finishers in the history of IPL. With his incredible performances in this season, he has put himself in the league of legends like Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard," Harbhajan said to Star Sports.
"I salute this exceptionally talented cricketer. He has won millions of hearts with his breathtaking knocks this season and I bow down to him. My best wishes to Rinku and his family. In the next IPL season, he might not be an uncapped player," Harbhajan, who was a part of KKR in the past, added.
