IPL 2023, RR vs DC: Trent Boult rattle Delhi with two wickets in First Over

Delhi Capitals have made a dismal start yet again with the bat as they are chasing 200 runs against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati. And they have fallen victims of a fiery over of Trent Boult.

Rajasthan Royals pacer Trent Boult, who had an underwhelming last match against Punjab, started in fantastic fashion against the Capitals. Boult picked up two wickets in the first over and that has pegged back Delhi big time in the run chase.

RR vs DC: Trent Boult picks Two Wickets in 1st Over

Trent Boult was outstanding in the very first over. He bowled a double-wicket maiden in the first over as Delhi are reeling in the run chase.

Boult first picked up Prithvi Shaw in the third ball of the over. Shaw managed to find an edge in an outswinger and Sanju Samson completed a fantastic catch diving to his right. Then Boult trapped Manish Pandey in front with an inswinger and got his wicket in the very next ball.

This is also the 2nd double wicket maiden for the Kiwi pacer in three IPL games this season. He did the same against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Royals' first match of IPL 2023. Boult then picked up the wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi.

Prithvi off form continues, Manish disappoint

For Delhi Capitals, their Impact Player Prithvi Shaw got out for a duck. Shaw was left out of the starting lineup but his introduction as Impact Player has been a fruitless one. Manish Pandey, who came into the first team originally as Shaw's replacement, departed on his very first ball.
