RR vs GT: Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday. In the first encounter of the season between these two sides on April 16, Rajasthan defeated Gujarat by three wickets.

Defending champions Gujarat are the current table-toppers in the 10-team IPL while Rajasthan, who clashed against the Hardik Pandya-led side in IPL 2022 final, are occupying the fourth spot.

Gujarat lost their last match against Delhi Capitals (DC) by five runs. Rajasthan piled up 212 in their last match against Mumbai but ended up losing by six wickets.

Yashasvi Jaiswal: There is no stopping Yashasvi Jaiswal at the moment. The RR opening is currently the second-highest run-scorer in the IPL 2023. He has scored 428 runs in nine matches at an average of 47.55 and a strike rate of 159.70.

The 21-year-old smashed 124 against Mumbai Indians in the last match. In his last outing against Gujarat this season, he managed one run off seven balls. He would be aiming to score big against Gujarat this time.

Sanju Samson: The Rajasthan captain smashed 60 runs off just 32 balls and played a crucial role in his side's three-wicket win over GT earlier this season. The innings completely turned the match on its head.

Overall, in the nine matches this season, the right-hander has scored 212 runs at an average of 23.55 and a strike rate of 150.35. He has failed to impress in his last four innings and hence is expected to give it his all in the upcoming match.

Shubman Gill: Eyes will be on Gujarat opener Shubman Gill during the match. He is the sixth-highest run-scorer in the tournament currently. His nine outings has seen him score 339 runs at an average of 37.66 and a strike rate of 140.66.

In his first match against Rajasthan this season, he scored 45 runs off 34 balls. Gujarat would be hoping for Gill to come all guns blazing once again against his former team. He has scored two fifties in his last three outings.

Hardik Pandya: The Gujarat captain scored 28 off 19 in the previous outing against Rajasthan Royals. He would be hoping to come up with an improved performance to avenge the 3-wicket defeat in the first round.
