Punjab Kings won a thriller at the Barsapara stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday as they beat Rajasthan Royals by just 5 runs. With the win, Punjab have registered back-to-back victories in the IPL 2023 and now move to second place in the table.

Prabhsimran Singh (60 off 34 balls) and Shikhar Dhawan (86* off 56 balls) were the main architects with the bat for Punjab Kings as they posted 197/4 in their 20 overs. Rajasthan came close to chase the score down, but fell 5 runs short of the PBKS total in the end.

It was a fantastic encounter between two swashbuckling sides but Shikhar Dhawan's troops managed to prevail courtesy of a brilliant last over show by Sam Curran, who managed to defend the total.
