'He has done well in both chances', Shaun Pollock hails Arjun Tendulkar after heroic over vs SRH

Former South Africa all-rounder and Mumbai Indians player Shaun Pollock has hailed Arjun Tendulkar for his brilliant bowling in the IPL 2023.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of the great Sachin Tendulkar has made his debut this season. He played the first match against KKR and then played against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last match.

And against SRH, Arjun was summoned by captain Rohit Sharma to bowl the last over and he did exceedingly well. Defending 19 runs in the last over, Arjun gave away just 5 runs and picked up 1 wicket to wrap up the game for Mumbai.

Mumbai registered their 3rd win in a row and the starlet did exceedingly well to keep his cool and deliver a tight over under enormous pressure. The left-arm pacer had a decent figure of 1/18 in his 2.5 overs and was hailed by a plethora of cricketing personalities across the world.

He bowled a decent line and executed the yorkers perfectly to keep the SRH batters at bay. He was difficult to hit and also got a wicket of Bhuvneshwar Kumar on a low full toss.

And Shaun Pollock is the latest to join the list as the former Proteas player heaped praises on the Sachin junior.

"He (Arjun) have been given two chances so far and he has done well in both. He swung the ball a bit, kept it tight, and even today at the death he would have felt that pressure," Pollock said to Cricbuzz after the match.

"Although they (SRH) were eight down, he still got the job done. So it's an exciting time for Mumbai Indians fans and Indian fans," he added.

The 23-year-old bowler has been with Mumbai Indians for a long time and was bought for INR 30 Lakh in the latest IPL auction last December. He has so far demonstrated decent bowling skills and has executed the plans perfectly.
