IPL 2023: SRH batter Harry Brook lauded by expert duo after amazing hundred against KKR

Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Harry Brook has shown his worth with a sublime hundred against Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday (April 14) at the Eden Gardens.

Harry Brook remained unbeaten on 100 and helped SRH to reach 228 runs in their allotted 20 overs. The England batter was bought for INR 13.25 crore and scored just 29 runs in 3 innings prior to the KKR match.

But the young batter batted in amazing fashion and racked up the first century of the IPL 2023 season. After the match, Eoin Morgan heaped praises on his fellow countryman and showered some magnanimous words.

"It was simply sublime from Harry Brook. We've seen this now for a couple of years at home both in England and for Yorkshire and even in The Hundred. He just continues to get better and better and better," Morgan said.

"And it's across all three formats. For everybody seeing him for the first time tonight, he does this every time in Test matches. He is as aggressive in a T20 game as he is in Test matches and it is great to watch," the former England captain added.

Former India bowler and current JioCinema expert Zaheer Khan also ushered good words for the SRH batter and praised his hitting ability.

"Brook played shots all around the park. He was hitting in front of the wicket, behind the wicket, on the off side and on the on side. That made things difficult for bowlers. It will be interesting to see how he bats against other teams. They will try to use more spinners against him. But he showed what he can do on his good days," Zaheer said.
