SRH vs LSG: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday. SRH are placed ninth in the ten-team IPL 2023 points table after losing six of their 10 matches. They won their last match against RR by four wickets.
LSG, on the other hand, are placed fifth with five wins and as many loses. They lost their last match against Gujarat Titans (GT) by a massive 56 runs. Lucknow defeated Hyderabad by five wickets in their earlier meeting against the Aiden Markram-led side this year.
As the two teams gear up to clash against each other for the second time in the IPL 2023, let's have a look at four players who can score most runs in the match.
Rahul Tripathi: The right-hand batter is the leading run-scorer for SRH with 237 runs in 10 matches at an average of 26.33 and a strike rate of 127.41. He was his side's top run-scorer in the previous meeting against LSG this season.
He scored 35 runs off 41 balls. Overall, he has played two matches against the opposition and scored 78 runs at an average of 39 and a strike rate of 109.85.
Abhishek Sharma: The young batter has played eight matches so far this season and scored 203 runs in eight matches at an average of 25.37 and a strike rate of 152.63.
He did not bat in SRH's first match against LSG this season. He has played one match against them in the past and scored 13 runs at a strike rate of 118.18. Sharma is currently the third-highest run-scorer for his team this season.
Nicholas Pooran: Eyes will be on Nicholas Pooran as he would aim to score big against his former team in the absence of KL Rahul. The southpaw is the third-highest run-scorer for his team at the moment.
He has scored 248 runs in 11 matches at an average of 24.80 and a strike rate of 160. In his previous outing against SRH earlier this season, he scored 11 unbeaten runs off just six balls. Overall, he has played six matches against SRH and scored 149 runs at an average of 37.25 and a strike rate of 175.29.
Ayush Badoni: The season has youngsters come up with mind-boggling performances and Ayush Badoni would look to take cue. In the 11 matches so far, the eight-hander has scored 212 runs at an average of 26.50 and a strike rate of 147.22.
He did not bat against SRH in his side's first match against them this season. In his last outing against GT, he scored 21 off 11. In the second-last match against CSK, he top-scored for his side with unbeaten 59 runs off 33 balls. In the only match against SRH, Badoni has scored 19 runs off 12 balls.
