IPL 2023: Cricket legends Sunil Gavaskar, Brett Lee, and Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty have reacted to a heartwarming post from batting great Sachin Tendulkar for his 23-year-old son Arjun who made his IPL debut against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday.

Sachin in his post wished Arjun Tendulkar good luck and urged him to give respect to the game to get it back in return. In his debut match, the left-arm pacer bowled two overs for 17 runs without any wicket.

Many former cricketers commented on the Instagram post from Sachin. Gavaskar's comment was the longest, sweetest and the most motivating one. He credited Arjun for his hard work and requested Sachin to wish the 23-year-old all the best for the future.

"Dear Sachin - What a wonderful gift you have got as you complete the golden jubilee of life. Playing Wasim- Waqar, Ambrose-Walsh-Bishop, Warne-McGrath , Anderson-Broad, Muralidharan must be nothing compared to the anxiety about how Arjun will fare.

"Success and failure is not in our hands, hard work is and Arjun has done it. Please wish him all the best and ask him to enjoy the game like you so marvellously did throughout your career," Gavaskar commented.

Bollywood veteran Shetty, Sachin's daughter Sara Tendulkar, and former cricketers Lee, Pragyan Ojha and Suresh Raina also commented. "Godbless. What beautiful moment," wrote Shetty.

"Congratulations paaji to the entire family! A very special and emotional moment," wrote Ojha. Sara also expressed her emotion through emojis.
