IPL 2023: David Warner touches Bhuvneshwar Kumar's feet on his 'homecoming' to Hyderabad - Watch Video

IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals (DC) captain David Warner touched the feet of his former teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar ahead of the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Tuesday.

The funny and heartwarming gesture by Bhuvneshwar was caught on camera and the official Twitter handle of the Indian Premier League (IPL) wasted no time in sharing the bromance between the star cricketers.

In the video, Warner can be seen touching Bhuvneshwar's feet before hugging him. Ishant Sharma can be seen bursting into laughter at Warner's gesture. Notably, Warner and Bhuvneshwar were teammates at SRH for a long time. Warner left the franchise after the IPL 2021.

A few fans decoded the gesture by Warner in a more funny manner, claiming that Warner prayed for 'reprieve' from Bhuvneshwar who has been excellent in the powerplay overs again.

The Australia opener has faced 27 balls in T20 cricket from Bhuvneshwar and scored 18 runs only at an average of 66.7. However, he has not been dismissed by the 33-year-old.

The experienced India pacer has bowled 14 overs during the phase of the game, giving away just 100 runs for four wickets at an economy rate of 7.14.

Warner, on the other hand, has struggled with his strike rate. He has scored 306 runs at an average of 43.71 but his strike rate is a lowly 119.53.

Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven runs after defending 145 against the hosts. Warner scored 21 runs off 20 balls. Bhuvneshwar picked two wickets for 11 runs in four overs in the match.
