IPL 2023: 'Aggressive Virat Kohli celebration is back' - Twitter reacts as RCB batter hits 33-ball fifty

IPL 2023: Virat Kohli hit his third fifty of the season in the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday and celebrated in a pumped up fashion to send the fans into a frenzy. The former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter thumped his chest with some expletives coming out of his mouth.

The fans were immediately reminded of the 'aggressive' Kohli of the past who would usually celebrate his milestones in animated fashions. However, the 34-year-old's celebration in the last couple of years have been rather subdued. Even after hitting his much-awaited 71st international ton, he had maintained his calm.

But it wasn't the case at the buzzing Chinnaswamy. Kohli continued his red hot form with and hit six four and a six en route to another fifty. The right-hander smashed two back-to-back boundaries in the first over of the match from Delhi pacer Anrich Nortje. During the course of the innings, Kohli also became the first player to score 2500 IPL runs at a single venue.

The Delhi-born cricketer has completed 2500 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Notably, Kohli is one of the very few players in the 16-year history of the tournament to have such a long career and play for just one franchise.

Here's how the fans have reacted to the power-packed knock and aggressive celebration from Kohli.

Kohli is now the second-highest run-scorer in the IPL 2023. He has scored 214 runs at an average of 71.33. Shikhar Dhwana is occupying the top spot with 233 runs in four matches at an average of 116.50.
