IPL 2023: Yuvraj Singh's Hilarious 'Thand Rakh' Suggestion to Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir

IPL 2023: Yuvraj Singh's hilarious suggestion on social media post the on-field spat between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Gautam Gambhir has gone viral.

A verbal feud broke out between Kohli and Gambhir after the LSG versus RCB on Monday (May 1) as the two cricketing stalwarts were separated by players and support staff of the two teams.

It all started in the 17th over of Lucknow's run-chase when Naveen-ul-Haq and Kohli had a go at each other. Amit Mishra, who was batting alongside Naveen at that point, intervened but was seemingly shunned too by Kohli.

Later during the ceremonial handshake, the RCB star and Naveen again had a verbal spat. Kohli's RCB teammate Glenn Maxwell tried to mediate this time.

While former cricketers and experts have reacted strongly and condemned the behaviour, Yuvraj, who has shared dressing rooms with both Kohli and Gambhir, has come up with a light-hearted take on the situation to calm down the situation.

"I think #Sprite should sign #Gauti and #Cheeku for their campaign #ThandRakh 🤪🥶 what say guys? 😎 @GautamGambhir @imVkohli @Sprite," Yuvraj tweeted on Thursday.

Sprite - a famous soft drink by Coca-Cola Company is known for its fun advertisements showing people calming their anger and frustration by consuming the product. Their 'Thand Rakh' series of ads by Sprite were also a major hit.

Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100 percent of their match fee for the altercation. Following the first match between RCB and LSG this season on April 10, a picture of the duo hugging each other had gone viral. Hopefully, the tweet from Yuvraj helps break the ice between the two.
