Kevin Pietersen has asked for a route to enter the IPL 2024 auction on social media. The former England star threw a question to social media on Friday (December 8) on how he can register his name for the IPL auction.
Kevin Pietersen has been in devastating form for his Legends League Cricket team India Capitals this year. He scored 169 runs in five matches this season, and his best knock of the lot came in the Qualifier 2 against Manipal Tigers on Thursday.

Pietersen scored 56 runs off 27 balls for the Capitals, hitting 2 fours and 5 sixes in the process. Although his inning wasn't enough for the Capitals as they lost the match, but the former England player's destructive batting caught the eye.
Referring to his innings with a video, Pietersen posted on his X profile and asked if there was any way he could still enter the upcoming IPL 2024 auction. "How do I enter the @IPL auction?" Pietersen asked on his X profile.
Former Ireland international Kevin O'Brien responded in his post and asked him to change his golf shoes first.
"You'll need a pair of boots buddy! Can't be playing in the @ipl in your golf shoes," the Ireland player commented.
The 43-year-old has played 36 matches in the IPL over the years. He made his debut in 2009 and played his last match in 2016. The Englishman has played for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Rising Pune Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals and Deccan Chargers in his IPL days.
In the 36 matches, Pietersen has amassed 1001 runs at a strike rate of 134.72, with a century to his name as well.
Although Kevin Pietersen is in search of an inroad to the IPL 2024 auction from a hilarious angle, the registration process is officially closed. The auction is on December 19 in Dubai and it is unlikely that the English player can be part of the auction even if he wants to.
Pietersen was part of the commentary team in IPL 2023 and he may have to stick with that at least for the IPL 2024 edition.
