Chennai Super Kings have roped in New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra in the IPL 2024 auction.
Rachin Ravindra has been one of the biggest prospects of Kiwi cricket in the recent past. The southpaw announced himself with a century in the first match of the World Cup 2023 against England, and then has gone on to perform extremely well in the tournament.

After his excellent plaudits for the Black Caps, the player was expected to fetch some money in the auction. And he has got himself a decent deal. Chennai Super Kings went for the Indian-born Kiwi player and snapped him up for Rs. 1.80 crore.
Ravindra will be playing for CSK in IPL 2024 alongside MS Dhoni. The all-rounder is set to have a valuable experience under the guidance of Dhoni. And along with Dhoni's presence, the Kiwi Ravindra is set play with Indian Ravindra as well.
India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is also with CSK and both Ravindras will be playing for the same team in IPL. Hence it promises to be a challenge for the commentators to differentiate both Ravindras when the IPL starts in March next year.
