Royal Challengers Bangalore has signed Yash Dayal for Rs. 5 crore in the IPL 2024 auction.

After failing to land either of India's premium fast bowlers, they had to land Yash Dayal in the auction, who has been infamous for conceding five sixes in five balls in IPL 2023.

Dayal was part of Gujarat Titans when Rinku Singh hit him for five sixes in a row, and was subsequently released by them. Although there was doubt on his IPL 2024 future, the left-arm pacer will be ecstatic about how things unfolded for him at the auction.

RCB let go of Harshal Patel ahead of the auction and now has replaced him with the signing of Yash Dayal. The 26-year-old Uttar Pradesh bowler has so far played 14 matches and has conceded at 10 runs per over. He also has a modest wicket return with just 13 scalps in 14 matches.

Though RCB announced on social media about how much improvement the pacer has made post IPL 2023, social media has reacted hilariously after Dayal's acquisition.

Former India player Dodda Ganesh shared his astonishment after RCB spent that huge money to sign Yash Dayal.

RCB's replacement players for their previous squad has baffled the fans.

More reasons to be astonished probably. Rinku Singh, who has been one of the emerging talents in Indian cricket and has also played for India since IPL 2023, earns only Rs. 55 lakh from his IPL deal with KKR.
