IPL 2024 Auction: Punjab veteran among three KKR stars who failed to to make cut in final auction list

IPL 2024 Auction: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction is fast approaching. The event will be held on December 19 in Dubai and will give all the nine teams an opportunity to finalise their squad for the IPL 2024.

The initial IPL 2024 auction players list of 1166 players was shortlisted and brought down to 333 on Monday, December 11. 119 are overseas players, including two from Associate nations, while 134 are from India.

Kedar Jadhav, Priyam Garg, Karan Sharma, Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Sisanda Magala are some noticeable names missing from the shortlisted list. Three big names who were part of the IPL 2023 for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) also haven't found place in the shortlisted list of players for IPL 2024 Auction.

Mandeep Singh: Mandeep Singh, who played three matches for KKR in IPL 2023 and scored 14 runs at an average of 4.66, has not found place in the shortlisted list. The Punjab captain has the experience of playing in 111 IPL matches in which he has scored

1706 runs at an average of 20.8 and a strike rate of 122.91.

N Jagadeesan: The Tamil Nadu batter was given the chance to feature in six IPL 2023 matches for KKR. However, he could score 89 runs only at an average of 14.83 and a strike rate of 109.87. The wicketkeeper-batter has scored 162 runs in 13 IPL matches at an average of 18 and a strike rate of 110.2.

Litton Das: The Bangladesh star was also surprisingly left out of the IPL 2024 auction shortlisted list. Litton Das featured in one match only in the IPL 2024. He scored four runs in it. He returned home due to a family emergency and was replaced by Johnson Charles. Litton Das was bought at his base price of Rs 50 lakh. The 29-year-old has an experience of playing in 73 T20Is for Bangladesh. He has scored over 4000 runs in 185 T20 matches.
