Sarfaraz Khan has found himself unwanted in the Delhi Capitals setup as the player was released by the Capitals ahead of the IPL 2024 auction.
After an underwhelming IPL 2023 with the Capitals, Sarfraz Khan will be up for auction and he'll have to find a new home. Safaraz Khan hasn't been a prolific performer in the IPL, but the player hasn't got many opportunities as well.

Last year, he played only four matches for Delhi Capitals. Despite struggling, Sarfaraz Khan didn't get a lot of opportunities in 2023 and will be hoping to get a bit more in the coming season.
His stellar performance with Mumbai in the domestic circuit is not unknown and his previous stint with Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL has been quite fruitful as well. But the 26-year-old has lagged behind the pace and will be hoping to rejuvenate his IPL career with a new team.
Among the many takers that Sarfaraz may have, Kolkata Knight Riders can be a perfect fit for him. The Knight Riders are in look for a wicketkeeper-batter in the auction and the Mumbai player will be a decent option for them. KKR already released Narayan Jagadeesan and Litton Das hence there is a slot available for them for the keeper.
Sarfaraz's ball-hitting ability coupled with his exploits behind the stumps makes him definitely a contender for KKR, and we may see the Knight Riders bidding for him.
KKR do have a record of getting the best out of young talents and that is another reason for why Sarfaraz Khan may have the perfect environment around him to thrive in his IPL career.
Despite making his debut in 2015, Sarfaraz has only played 50 IPL matches in his career. He has scored 585 runs in his IPL career at an average of 22.50. But the interesting fact is that Sarfaraz has only managed 17 appearances in the last four IPL seasons, which is lower than the total tally of his first two seasons.
