Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant is set to make an emotional return to cricket after 14 months.
Pant, who is captaining Delhi Capitals, suffered a near-fatal accident in December 2022 and underwent multiple surgeries after sustaining serious injuries.

The India player worked hard on fitness and is ready to be in action for the Capitals in this IPL 2024 after 453 days. But Pant says he has no pressure on himself and says he follows a simple MS Dhoni rule.
When asked about the pressure on his comeback in the IPL, Pant said he is not feeling as he follows the simple rule of MS Dhoni.
" I am not feeling pressure. I am tensed and excited but I am trying to focus. As Mahi bhai always says, 'try to focus the core thing in cricket', I am doing that," Pant said in an interview with JioCinema.
The Delhi Capitals captain also said that he is lucky to be alive and doesn't think too much ahead.
"One of my brothers always say, 'whatever happens in cricket is fine'. I am happy that I am alive. If I were not alive, what would be the meaning of playing cricket?" Pant added.
It was not an easy journey for Pant. The southpaw was on crutches and he had to work hard to get into shape and attain full fitness. The Delhi captain remembers the moments of the gradual journey he had to his full fitness and says it was an amazing feeling.
"I felt amazing. I can't describe the feeling. I was mesmerized. It didn't feel like I was playing for a long time. It was a new feeling as I picked up the bat, the gloves. I don't remember the exact days, but those moments are with me. Sometimes we always think about the destination, but we need to cherish the journey as well," he added.
Rishabh Pant would be hoping for a decent IPL as that can open up a space for him in the India squad for the T20 World Cup in June.
