Andy Flower, who was recently replaced by Justin Langer as the head coach of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of the IPL 2024, is reportedly in talks with Rajasthan Royals (RR) and one more franchise, a Cricbuzz report said on Tuesday.
The move is very unlikely to affect the job for Kumar Sangakkara who is director of cricket at Rajasthan Royals. The report has added that there hasn't been any official confirmation on the development by either of the parties.

Flower guided LSG to the play-offs for two consecutive seasons and boasts of an impressive coaching CV. St. Lucia Zouks finished as the runners-up in the CPL 2020 under the Zimbabwe legend. Multan Sultans won the PSL 2021 under his watch, while Gulf Giants emerged as the champions with him at helm in ILT20.
Reports have also emerged that Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who finished last in the IPL 2023, are also on a lookout for a new coach. SRH are understandably unhappy with the coaching style of West Indies legend Brian Lara.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are also yet to renew the contracts of their director of cricket Mike Hesson and head coach Sanjay Banger after sixth place finish in the last edition. Changes are very likely, but the franchise maintains that they haven't yet initiated performance of the coaching group in the 2023 season. While Hesson's contract ends on August 31, Banger's deal with the franchise runs till December 31.
