The IPL 2024 is moving at its full pace and the anticipation for the India squad for T20 World Cup 2024 is also rising.
With the India squad set to be announced soon, the interest is massive among the fans as the selectors pick the 15-member team for the upcoming ICC tournament.

The top Indian players are in the race while a few new names have also emerged as probable contenders. Veteran players like Dinesh Karthik, and Yuzvendra Chahal have hit form whereas Rishabh Pant has also made a stellar return to cricket. On the other hand, there is a strong wave in favour of LSG pacer Mayank Yadav as many ex-players want the youngster in the Indian team.
The two gladiators of Indian cricket - Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are going to play a pivotal part. Although both are stalwarts of the Indian team, social media fanatism often creates unnecessary rift and distraction.
And another of that has emerged recently. A video on X (formerly Twitter) has been uploaded which shows a video of Rohit Sharma calling someone on phone. The India captain is in Mumbai Indians shirt and just strolls past while speaking on the phone.
But the caption of the social media post says Rohit is saying, "Wo dono team me nahi chahiye baki deko" (Don't need those two in the team and focus on others).
The post then elaborates that Virat Kohli is one of those 'Two' whom Rohit Sharma doesn't want in the Indian team. The social media post has got 50,000 views and has been shared almost 100 times.
MyKhel can confirm the aforementioned post and the theory associated with it are FAKE!!
Rohit Sharma never said anything mentioning dropping Virat Kohli as we can clearly see from the video. It was a misleading post and has no relevance to reality. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are indispensable part of the Indian team and the duo are expected to play a pivotal role in the T20 World Cup.
Rohit is set to lead India as the team will be hoping for redemption from the World Cup 2023 heartbreak.
