Chennai's original Yellow was painted in Purple and Gold again as Kolkata Knight Riders decimated Sunrisers Hyderabad to secure their 3rd IPL title on Sunday (May 26).
KKR won the Grand Finale with a dominant win over Sunrisers Hyderabad as they secured victory by 8 wickets with 57 balls to spare, ending a decade-long wait for the IPL trophy.

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first, but the team had a disastrous start. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma both departed within the first two overs, and SRH failed to recover from there.
Andre Russell picked up 3 wickets, while Mitchell Starc and Harshit Rana took 2 each, as SRH got bowled out for just 113 runs. Pat Cummins was the highest scorer for SRH with 24 runs, while Travis Head scored 0 and Heinrich Klaasen managed only 16.
In the chase, Sunil Narine departed early, but Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer dominated the SRH bowlers. Venkatesh scored an unbeaten 52 off just 26 balls, and Gurbaz added 39 runs to secure an easy win for KKR in 10.3 overs at Chepauk Stadium.
After a scintillating campaign, the Knight Riders were deserved winners with a fantastic performance off their sleeve when it mattered the most. 'Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo' was the tune on the night and as they lit the lights in Chepauk, fans went berserk on social media.
