Kolkata Knight Riders will be up against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 Final on Sunday (May 26) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Both teams have been outstanding this season, and as the Final encounter proceeds, the expectation is of a blockbuster between these two rich sides.

Both KKR and SRH have been equipped with some terrific players in their team. The Knight Riders possess the likes of Sunil Narine, Andre Russell - the two Caribbean mavericks in their squad. On the other hand, the Orange Army have been led adeptly by Pat Cummins, while the likes of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and others have played a crucial part in their outstanding run this season.
But as the focus shifts to the grand final, two players can be absolutely vital for KKR and SRH. Although these two players don't have the star status, they have been equally brilliant for both teams, and can be the key factor for their respective teams in the Final.
Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Varun Chakravarthy has rejuvenated himself in the latter part of this season after a slow start to IPL. 2024 Chakravarthy has found form and looks ominous in the past few matches. He has picked wickets galore and also has bowled in an excellent discipline to gun down all of their opponents in the past few matches.
Chennai being his home ground, the KKR Spinner will know about the dimensions and can be a potent weapon for the Knight Riders against SRH.
If Kolkata Bowls second and it doesn't dew, then Chakravarthy's mystery spin will be a huge weapon for Shreyas Iyer to use, and the local boy can emerge as a match-winner for the Knight Riders. The 32-year-old sits 3rd in the Purple Cap chart with 20 wickets so far this season.
Rahul Tripathi has a reputation for being a powerhouse of shotmaking, who can take the attack to any opposition. In the Qualifier 2, the player played a superb knock to dismantle the Royals' bowling attack.
And the SRH batter is likely to be crucial against KKR in the Final as well. His ability of scoring runs at a brisk pace is not unknown, but Rahul has a great temperament and skillset, which can come into play for the Orange Army. The Indian batter has played only 5 matches this season, but has become a regular in the latter half of this SRH campaign. And as the Final approaches, having played the likes of Sunil Narine and other KKR spinners during his stint with the Kolkata franchise can be a huge bonus for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
