IPL 2024 Final: Lucknow Super Giants give Epic Reaction after SRH Openers' Dismal Record in Playoffs

Sunrisers Hyderabad are bowled out for just 113 runs in the IPL 2024 Final against Kolkata Knight Riders.

After choosing to Bat first, things have turned out bitter for SRH as they got bundled out cheaply, registering the lowest 1st innings total in an IPL Final.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma - the two batting stars of SRH got dismissed cheaply yet again. Both openers were back in the hut in the first two overs. Abhishek was cleaned up by Mitchell Starc in the first over, while Travis Head departed for a Golden Duck in Vaibhav Arora's delivery.

Although the SRH openers have been phemoneal this season, the final few matches have been a disaster for Head and Sharma as partners. In the final four IPL 2024 matches, the SRH openers have added only 15 runs as opening partners.

Against Punjab Kings, they didn't score a run, followed by another duck in the Qualifier 1 match against KKR. In the Qualifier 2, SRH's opening partnership managed only 13 runs, while the Final yielded just 2 runs.

But what happened in the match before the PBKS one? The SRH batters took apart Lucknow Super Giants and scored 167 runs within 9.4 overs. Head and Abhishek went berserk in that match and chased the total down in a canter. But since then, it has all gone downhill for the duo as partners.

And Lucknow Super Giants, who were at the receiving end of that destructive batting, reacted epicly in an X post on Sunday.
