IPL 2024 Final: Rapper Drake places Rs 2 Crore Bet on KKR ahead of Final, Says 'Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo'

By MyKhel Staff

Kolkata Knight Riders are up against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 Final on Sunday (May 26).

And ahead of the high-voltage clash, it is high stakes for the Knight Riders as world-renowned rapper Drake has placed a humongous bet on the Kolkata franchise for the Final.

Drake

Grammy-winning rapper Drake has placed a USD 250,000 bet on KKR to win the IPL 2024 Final against SRH. This marks Drake's first cricket bet, having previously gambled on basketball, American Football, and Rugby.

The 37-year-old shared his bet receipt on Instagram, increasing the excitement around the IPL final. The amount of the bet is around Rs 2 crore in Indian currency, and if Drake wins the bet, he will receive around Rs 3.73 crore.

He wrote, 'I am going with KKR for my first ever cricket bet, Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo' on his Instagram Story along with the bet slip.

SRH's 36-run win over RR in Qualifier 2 on May 24, Pat Cummins' side secured a rematch against KKR in the Final. As the brand ambassador of cryptocurrency casino Stake.com, Drake is known for his high bets in the pop-culture world. However, his luck in sports bets has been mixed, including a USD 2 million (Rs 16 Crore) loss in a UFC fight in 2022.

Drake's fortunes have recently turned with some favourable bets, and his fortune may glow even brighter if the Knight Riders pull off a victory. So far in the IPL 2024, KKR have met SRH twice and have won both matches.
